Founding Membership
Join the Institute
The decisions made in the founding phase will shape the Institute's doctrine, governance, and standards for decades.
We are assembling the founding membership now — scientists, AI developers, enterprise deployers, insurers, auditors, legal scholars, regulators, and representatives of civil society. If you believe that accountability must keep pace with autonomy, we want to hear from you.
Why Now
The founding phase is the consequential phase.
The institutions that govern transformative technologies are shaped in their earliest years. The norms, standards, and governance structures established now will determine whether autonomous intelligence remains accountable to human institutions — or whether accountability dissolves into complexity before the infrastructure exists to prevent it. Founding members help determine the answer.
Who we are assembling.
AI Developers & Research Labs
Model providers, AI infrastructure companies, and research organizations building the systems the Standard will govern.
Enterprise Deployers
Organizations deploying autonomous systems at scale in consequential domains: finance, healthcare, law, logistics, infrastructure.
Insurers & Auditors
Institutions that will underwrite, assess, and certify autonomous systems — and who need the Standard and Ledger to do so.
Legal, Regulatory & Policy
Lawyers, regulators, and policymakers who will interpret, enforce, and legislate around autonomous systems.
Scientists & Researchers
AI researchers, ethicists, social scientists, and domain experts who will inform the Institute's technical and normative work.
Civil Society
Organizations representing the interests of communities affected by autonomous systems — ensuring accountability serves people, not only institutions.
